Course Description More Details
The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) Mathematics Team is
partnering with Chattahoochee Flint RESA to provide professional learning on Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning for Georgia’s K-12 Mathematics Standards, which will be implemented in the classroom with students during the 2023-2024 school year. We encourage all teachers and teacher leaders to attend one of these professional learning sessions. Participants will explore creating tasks that incorporate the expectations of both Mathematical Modeling and Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning.
Target Audience: Math teachers, academic coaches, administrators, co-teachers, paraprofessionals, special education teachers, etc.
At least one teacher per grade level per school is the expectation to attend.
We need as many teachers and leaders to participate as possible to ensure ALL have the tools needed to move forward in preparation for the roll out of the new math standards!
Please bring a charged laptop to access the documents during the training.
Instructor(s): Jackie Henning and Denise Castleberry -GaDOE Interdisciplinary Team
