Course Description More Details
This 60 hour course (6 PLU’s) is Course 1 of 2 courses within the STEM Endorsement. It is designed to build candidates’ knowledge of STEM Teaching practices and strategies as a foundation for making instructional decisions for planning and implementing effective STEM programs. In order to inform such decision-making, candidates will explore current issues, materials, strategies, and approaches to teaching STEM to K – 12 students. A 15-hour field experience practice (observation in STEM classrooms/STEM certified schools) is required for this course.
The Endorsement Program Application and other information pertaining to the Chattahoochee-Flint RESA STEM Endorsement Program can be found under the Professional Learning / Endorsement tab on our website, cfresa.org.
The Endorsement Program Application must be completed before a candidate is considered fully registered for the program.
Kick-off night is a face-to-face meeting at Chattahoochee-Flint RESA on 8-21-23.
There will be three more face-to-face meetings on 9-25-23, 10-23-23, and 11-6-23.
The remaining class days are virtual. Virtual dates/office hours will be given at the Kick-off F2F meetings for both courses.
