 More Details

Computational Thinking and Programming Basics is Course 1 of 3 in the Computer Science Endorsement series. Candidates must complete all three courses to receive their Computer Science Endorsement. The three courses run from August through May.

This course introduces critical thinking methods that lead to the development of well structured programs. Emphasis is placed on the fundamental building blocks of programming, including computational thinking skills, primitive data types, functions, basic data structures, and common algorithms. The software, code examples and code projects featured in this course will be presented primarily using a text-based third-generation programming language.

The Endorsement Program Application and other information pertaining to the Chattahoochee-Flint RESA Computer Science Endorsement Program can be found under the Professional Learning / Endorsement tab on our website, cfresa.org.

The Endorsement Program Application must be completed before a candidate is considered fully registered for the program.

Instructor: Jennifer Smith

This is an online class. However, there is a FACE TO FACE meet & greet meeting in the RESA auditorium on August 15 from 4:30 until 6:30
