The Essentials of Effective Teaching is the introductory training course for candidates entering GaTAPP.  The Chattahoochee-Flint RESA GaTAPP candidates will begin their experience with ten days of blended instruction including outside assignments.  The course will encompass ethics, environment, assessment, curriculum, and effective instruction.  All components of the course will be taught by specialists emphasizing research-based information.  The candidates will be introduced to every anticipated aspect of teaching and the expectations of a new teacher beginning their first days of school.  As effective teaching strategies are introduced, the instructors will incorporate those strategies into their instruction, setting examples of how to engage and interact with students.

Locations: June 19 and June 23 at Chattahoochee Flint RESA in Ellaville

(June 19 - CFRESA members 9:00-12:00 / Non-CFRESA members 1:00-3:00) 

All other days the time is 9:00-3:00 for all candidates.

June 20-22 and June 26-30 at South Georgia Technical College (Pope Center) in Americus                     

There is no cost to CFRESA member candidates who have been previously notified of admission into the TAPP program and whose systems have agreed to pay their TAPP fees. (Essentials is covered by the TAPP fees.)

$600 - Cost for CFRESA members (Chattahoochee, Clay, Crisp, Dooly, Furlow Charter, Macon, Marion, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, SOWEGA STEM, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, and Webster) who have not yet been notified of admission into the TAPP program, but have been given permission to register for Essentials

$650 - Cost for Muscogee County and other non-CF RESA members

If you pay with a credit card (online or on the phone), a 3% charge will be added to the cost, which means $615 for members and $670 for Muscogee and other non-members.
